BCCI has released the squad for the Test series against Sri Lanka . India will play 2 Test matches against Sri Lanka . The first Test match will be played from 15 August to 19 August at Galle International Stadium, Galle, while the last Test Match will take place from 22 to 27 August in Colombo . On 28 July , 2026 BCCI released the names of the players who will be part of the Indian squad against Sri Lanka.
Ravindra Jadeja has made his comeback to the India squad, while many fresh faces such as Gurnoor Brar and Saransh Jain have been given a chance for this series. Shubman Gill will lead India while KL Rahul will be the vice-captain for Team India . While Washington Sundar will not be available for the 1st Test match against Sri Lanka due to a hamstring injury .
