  • 2019/20 Season: Playing for Mumbai he scored 928 runs in 9 innings at an astronomical average of 154.66, grabs everyone attention by scoring 301 against Uttar Pradesh and a 226* against Himachal Pradesh.
  • 2021/22 Season: Sarfaz Khan breaks his previous record of 982 runs in 9 innings in the Ranji Season.  His average is 122.75, with four phenomenal centuries and two fifties. He carried his team, Mumbai, to the Ranji Trophy Finals. His notable innings in the 2021-22 Ranji season came against Saurashtra, smashing 275 off 401 balls.
  • 2022/23 Season:  Sarfaraz Khan played 6 matches with an eye-pleasing batting average of 92.66. Sarfraz Khan scored 556 runs with the help of 3 hundreds. Despite consistently scoring runs for Mumbai, his team has not qualified for the knockout stage.
  • 2024/2025 Season: Sarfaraz Khan did not play in the Ranji Trophy. His hard work and dedication finally paid off as he made his Test debut against England in 2024.
  • 2025-2026 : In 2025-2026, he played 9 innings while smashing 429 runs with a batting average of 53.62, including 1 double century and 1 fifty. He played a magnificent innings of 227 runs off 219 balls against Hyderabad. This brilliant knock included 19 fours and 9 sixes. It was the innings in which he crossed his 5,000 career first-class runs milestone.

Sarfaraz Khan : India vs Sri Lanka gets called to replace Sai

India has to play a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka; the BCCI has named middle-order batter Sarfaraz Khan as a replacement for the injured Sai Sudharsan.

Sai Sudharsan, India’s top-order batter, faced a right-toe injury during the recent India ‘A’ warm-up match. Sai’s injury opened the doors for Sarfaraz in Team India. The Sri Lanka conditions and pitches are familiar to Indian pitches, which offer help to the spinners as the game progresses. Sarfaraz Khan had been showing consistent form in domestic leagues, which caught everyone’s eye.

Sarfaraz has been a key Indian batter who plays spin well and not only plays spin but also dominates spin bowlers. In Sri Lankan conditions, a batter like him will make an important mark on the match.
